Ongoing classes are very important for young actors to be able to nurture their talent and bring it to new exciting levels. The students enrolled in our on-going classes will learn from the best teachers in the business and build their skills in a positive, supportive setting.
Broadway’s STEPHANIE FITTRO (Legally Blonde) along with a professional musical director will work with students on the three primary disciplines that help make young actors become skilled performers.
Students discover an approach to acting, singing and dance that is clear and fun. We will focus on how to better approach material, sharpen audition skills, understand direction and adjustments, make strong choices, relax and most of all have confidence. This class is designed to help unlock imagination and overcome inhibitions. Class will culminate in a small performance for parents and friends that will feature scenes and a full cast production number. All levels are welcomed.
Donna Vivino in Wicked
Broadway’s DONNA VIVINO (Wicked, Les Miz and more) will work with students on scenes and monologues over 6 sessions. Donna will focus on how to approach material and help students sharpen their skills, understand direction and adjustments, make strong choices, relax and most of all have confidence when performing. Students will explore what makes them unique and how to apply that to their monologues and scene work. Each student will be paired up for one scene and be given an individual monologue in preparation for a small showcase recital following the final class.
Joy Suprano
Joy Suprano’s fall acting workshop left parents and students raving. We are so excited to bring her back for a winter session. Students will work with JOY SUPRANO a graduate of The Juilliard School, who has had numerous recurring, guest star and serious regular roles in television, including Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, HBO’s How to Make It in America, 100 Questions and Law & Order: CI. As well as lead roles in the films We Are The Hartmans and A Little Help. Joy will work with students on how to select the right monologue and how to bring it to life. Each student will work in a small group setting and have the opportunity in each session to build a strong monologue audition.
Over 5 sessions we will help students explore what makes them unique and how to apply that to their monologues. This is the perfect class for students who will be auditioning for college programs or students who want to work more in depth on acting. This class will focus on contemporary monologues.
